Montessori inspired shelf 1

I used to do many activities with my toddler. But from now, I will be starting using Montessori inspired shelf. This really makes a difference. The toddler enjoys the activities presented to him and loves to see what all activities are there on the shelf. In this way, we can also get to which activities are liked and disliked by the kid. Accordingly, we can change and create new activities.

My first Montessori inspired shelf activities is kept very simple with the materials available handy at home. So they are very easy to make and good activities.

These are the wooden cutouts. I just ask my little one to give me a ball, a tree, a flower. This is a good language building activity.

This is the color sorting activity with two different colors of cloth pins.

For this i used an empty container and made a hole at the centre. I cut some starw pieces. The kid has to insert the straw pieces through the hole. This is good for fine motor skills.

I used a crepe ribbon which is used to make garlands. The kid has to remove from thr roll and tear into pieces with the hand.

This is for free play. The kid can make any structures.

This is the vehicle stickers. The kid can peel them and stick on any surface. I let my kid stick it on her cupboard. Good way to learn about things (this time vehicles)
