Trip to Nepal - Kathmandu to Muktinath

Last month from october 18th to oct 25th, we were on a trip to muktinath from mumbai. Muktinath is also a sacred temple for hindus. A very ancient temple to visit. But the way to reach Muktinath is quiet tiresome. The weather conditions and climate over there do make you to change your plans, but reaching there, you feel so divine. The expereince is amazing. So let's elaborate our journey for you all.

We first started from mumbai by flight to New Delhi, as we couldn't get any direct flights to Kathmandu. From New Delhi the flight to Kathmandu was 4 hours gap. So in the early morning, we visited India gate. It was so great to see the India gate in the early morning with few sun rays coming down. The people having their early moning walk and jogging. Then from New delhi, we headed to Kathmandu and took a day rest at the Hotel Shanker at Kathmandu.

Then our journey from Kathmandu to Muktinath was planned by the travel desk at Hotel Shanker by Mr. Khadga (Travel desk official). Kathmandu sleeps by 6:30 in the evening, I mean everything is closed around 18:30 p.m. We wanted to visit Pashupatinath temple in Kathmandu, but couldn't as it gets closed by evening. so had to wait till the morning.

Next day, in the morning, we visited Pashupatinath in Kathmandu. A very nice murti of Pashupatinath. It is kept natural and not disturbed its eternal beauty. Then headed our journey to airport as we had our flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It was almost half an hour flight.

Pokhara: -

Our travel advisor had planned this trip, so he had kept a day rest for us at pokhara as direct journey to muktinath would be tiresome. We took a halt at Pokhara at the hotel named Lakeside Retreat. In the evening we just went roam around Pokhara. It is very beautiful and clean and pollution free. The climate is also very nice. A little cold throughout the day. There is a lake which has boating. We just had a walk at the lakeside and had planned the boating while returning from Muktinath. So we only enjoyed the lakeview and returned to our hotel.

Next morning, we headed for our 10 hour journey to Jomsom by a prado, as our normal vehicles won't sustain the road over there. the driver was very good and co-operative. He showed us some places and stopped the vehicle wherever the scene was nice and we could have our photography.
We are vegeterians, so for us eating options were very few. As these were the remote places, they could only serve us with rice, daal, sesame leaves sabji and some pickle. But we liked it, as during travelling such food helps to keep us away from stomach problems and acidity. The view during the road journey was great. we could see some snow-covered mountains. Since it was mid of october, the snow had just started. So this was the best time to vist Muktinath.

Jomsom:-

After 10 hours of journey, we reached Jomsom and took rest for the night at Hotel Trekker's Inn booked by our travel advisor Mr. Khadga. Reaching Jomsom, we felt very cold as we are not used to such climate. Most of the foreigners were there for trekking the  himalayan mountains. We had all our warm clothes and still, we felt so cold. After reaching our room, we first ordered our tea and felt little warm. We had dinner after a while which was the same rice, daal, sesame leaves sabji and went to sleep as next morning, we had to visit Muktinath, our fianl destination.
