Such a great feeling and time. So it is very important that you spend these months in a very jolly and lively way. Of course the surrounding also plays a very important role. But as far as possible you must live happily and take at most care of yourself. I would live to share some of my experiences and tips which I have come across during my pregnancy.
- Eat good food and have regular meals.
- Make your own routine schedule and follow it religiously.
- Never eat papaya fruit during pregnancy. Also avoid pineapple during later stages of pregnancy as it causes early labour pain.
- Fruits should be consumed before sunset. It gives much good results in case of digestion problems.
- Avoid milkshake as it not so recommended. Instead eat fresh fruit juices and milk separately.
- Consume almonds (badam) in the morning which soaked overnight.
- Dry dates or khajur should be consumed with ghee in the early morning.
- In the morning, consuming honey with milk is good for health.
- capsicum, brinjal, spring onion are bad at digesting. Hence reduce the consumption of these vegetables.
- Use groundnut oil for cooking as it is good for health.
- Custard apple, pomegranate, orange, grapes are good for health.
- Coconut water is good to increase level of amniotic fluid which is very essential during pregnancy for better growth of the fetus.
- Avoid heavy food which is not good at digestion.
- Boiled sprouted grains are good for health which should be consumed in the morning in breakfast or lunch.
- Green leafy vegetables are very good for good health and also for production of milk which is required for milk feeding later on.
- Sleeping more than 8 to 9 hours can affect the growth of the child as it will also become lazy and sleepy.
- Consume good amount of home made buttermilk, ghee, butter.
- Always sit with your back straight.
- During 1st 3 months of pregnancy, avoid long distance traveling and also during last two months. In between also, make sure the traveling is comfortable.
- Avoid tight clothes and high heeled foot wears.
- Late night sleep or irregular sleep should be avoided. Also sleeping in the afternoon should be prevented. In the afternoon, rest can be afforded with a small nap.
- Avoid sleeping on back. Sleep on either sides.
- Avoid watching horror, sad or any such genre movies or shows. Also reading such stuff can affect the child. Don't think of bad times and incidents. Be happy always.
- Music, reading, meditation helps to feel fresh and free from any bad thoughts.
- Daily go for morning walk and if possible in the evening too. Walking helps in regulating the muscles of the body which is very useful during pregnancy.
- Listen to music and classical songs as it affects the growth of the baby. Also the baby responds to string instruments after 6th or 7th month of pregnancy.
- consume milk, dry fruits, fruit juices, buttermilk, coconut water, fruit juices.
- Recite Ramraksha stotra every evening. It stimulates the baby's mind and soul.
- Practice pranayam and meditation regularly.
- Its good if can read book named ' Garbhsanskar' written by Dr. Balaji Tambe. The book gives very detailed information about pregnancy and health care. It gives ayurvedic remedies for various problems during pregnancy or for pregnancy to go smoothly.

- Consume panchamrut (mixture of milk,curd,ghee,honey and sugar or banana).
- Sleep on your left side. Never sleep on your back during your pregnancy.
- Have plenty of protein, folic acid rich foods. Dragon fruit is very rich in folic acid which is very much required during pregnancy.
- Eat much of the green leafy vegetable and sprouted grains.
- Talk to your baby regularly as it understands and examines your voice.
- Narrate short stories, sing a song to your baby in the womb. It makes good influence on the baby as the development of the infant starts inside the mother's womb only.
- Draw pictures or paint as it helps to develop baby's right brain which is responsible for creativity. It develops the infant's creative mind.
