Who says life changes after having a baby or we cannot do the things which we used to do earlier. It actually doubles the happiness and experiences.
I had been to treks after marriage with my husband. We had gone to Lohagad, Raigad, Peth keela in Karjat. But after having my baby, this was my first trek with her. And I must tell you, it was a wonderful experience. We had gone to karnala fort. It is the beginners' trek. Karnala fort also has a bird sanctuary with few birds kept in cage near the entrance. We saw the birds first and headed towards our trek start point. It also had a small garden there with see saw, swing. We played there for a while.
It was a rainy day and we started our trek at around 11 am. Initially we found it hard to climb along with our baby. But as we moved forward, it became much comfortable. Many trekkers over there were astonished to see us trekking along with our baby. Many gave hats off to us. The route to the fort was kept clean and maintained the nature by not allowing anyone to throw any plastic or any garbage over there. There were no shops at the route for some drinks or eatables. So you have to carry your eatables and drinks along with you. It took two hours to reach the top. But after reaching there, it was so worthy. It was full of moisture and cloudy. My daughter also enjoyed the weather. We had not covered her with any raincoat or anything like that. She was left free to soak in the rain that day. We took some photographs with the nature and started our return journey. Returning back required a bit carefulness as it was slippery and had slopes. But it was not so tiresome as it was while climbing. On the way, we did some photo sessions. There was a small waterfall where we played with water. My daughter loved playing there for a while as she had never been to a waterfall earlier. After reaching the base, we were little exhausted and hungry. There a Mahila bachhat canteen where we had our lunch and thus our trek was completed successfully with satisfaction. Altogether it was a great experience.
Below are some pics which I would like to share with you.
